Parks and Recreation fans have gone wild over the past day or so, as the world has channeled their inner Leslie Knope. 78-year-old Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th president of the United States. Celebrities such as John Legend, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Lopez were at the White House to commemorate the day. But Parks and Rec fans couldn’t help but celebrate in their own unique way. Amy Poehler’s character even ended up trending on social media worldwide!

President Joe Biden made not just one, but two cameo appearances in the NBC comedy. Parks and Rec fans came together on January 20th to remember his famous appearance in the series. In the episode, Biden meets Leslie and Ben. Can you imagine how Leslie would react to this monumental moment?!

During their chat, Leslie exclaims:

“My name just came out of your mouth. This isn’t happening, this isn’t real”.

Mr. Biden replies:

“It’s happening, I’m delighted to have you here. On behalf of the President and myself… ‘The reason you’re here is I’m told you’ve done a such great job in your town and the state of Indiana and I just want to say congratulations for your public service”.

Fans love the next moment, as Leslie tells a security agent: “You don’t let anything happen to him, you understand me? He is precious cargo”.

President Joe Biden also appears in the finale episode of Parks and Recreation, where he becomes friends with Leslie. This then caused Leslie Knope to trend on Twitter, as millions of fans resembled the moment to the last episode. Fans were tweeting how Leslie would be feeling right now. Maybe another reunion episode would clear things up…

Tons of rumors have circulated to suggest there could potentially be a revival of the comedy. Aubrey Plaza has also hinted that Parks and Rec could be making a reunion movie in the future. We’re hoping the cast come together to do something, we just can’t get enough!
