This track starts with a chill verse accompanied by synths, bass, high-pitched vocal samples, and beautiful acoustic piano fills as it builds up to the beat drop where the rap section of the Song comes in. The sound design and instruments used for this track really fits the emotional state of the song and how it wants the listener to feel.
It is a linear song with three sections; the intro, the rap section, and the climax. The way the song is written is more like a story, and not like your regular pop song with a repeating hook.
The lyrics are very emotional and well-written. It subtly talks about the racial issues that people face in the United States. It talks about the struggles of being stereotyped, but most of all, this song talks about peace and how it is the only resolution that is needed.
This song may only be 2 minutes and 36 seconds long, but it is filled with a lot of emotion that will undoubtedly hit you in the feels. It is a beautiful tribute song to the late George Perry Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, Rest in Peace.
