The film narrates the story of India’s greatest empire, the Cholas. The two-part film is being made with an estimated budget of 500 crores, making it one of the costliest films in the Tamil film industry.

Ponniyin Selvan OTT Platform & Satellite Rights
It is reported that the digital streaming rights of Ponniyin Selvan are sold to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping 125 crores. And the satellite rights of the film were sold at a similar price to the Sun TV network.
Though many people wait for the OTT release instead of going to the theatres, we recommend that one has to watch Ponniyin Selvan in theatres if they want to experience the film at its full potential.
