After a hiatus of more than seven hundred days, the new Nandamuri Balakrishna movie, Akhanda, is all set to hit theaters on December 2. For the unusually long wait for the fans, the star concocts a film that comes in the blockbuster combo. Yes, Akhanda marks the third collaboration of Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu after Simha and Legend.
The gap between Ruler (2019) and Akhanda (2021) is the longest in Balakrishna’s entire career. The ‘gap’ itself was enough for fans to get excited about Balakrishna’s new movie, but the combo took it to the next level. As a result, there is considerable hype surrounding the film.
Another factor to Akhanda is that it is the first ‘mass biggie’ after the second wave. There is interest in a Balakrishna film like never before. The BB3 (as the makers put it) is roaring at the cash register.
A career-best opening for Nandamuri Balakrishna is assured with Akhanda. The bookings are excellent everywhere. Without the ticket price issues, it would have been much – much more significant. So Akhanda now has the chance to become the biggest blockbuster in NBK’s career.
Boyapati Srinu saw the most significant setback in his career with his last performance. However, his combination with Balakrishna is worth gold. He would hope to redeem himself with another blockbuster success here.
The trailer has raised high expectations, and the open field helps Akhanda get the broadest possible release. S Thaman started the year with a bang, hoping to do the same at the end.
