Indian Army said it had not crossed (LAC) border with China a day earlier neither had it fired shots

Tuesday, the Indian Army said it had never crossed the LAC border with China a day earlier, nor had it shot any fire as Beijing had accused it.

In a statement, the Indian Army said it was the Chinese soldiers who, on Monday, tried to close one of India’s forward positions along the LAC and fired shots to intimidate Indian soldiers.

The revived friction and exchange of words between the two parties took place during Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar ‘s trip to Moscow, where the Minister was to meet Chinese Minister Wang Yi on Thursday. High officials of the foreign ministry went there.

Since May, when India first detected intrusive Chinese soldiers in Indian territory, tensions have been high between the two sides. On 15 June a violent confrontation between workers of the two armies escalated tensions. Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in the battle with an undisclosed number of Chinese soldiers.
