Sanjay Mishra, the Sub-Collector of Bolangir, was suspended. This was the order given today evening by the Department of the General Administration.

Sub-Collector Sanjay Mishra, OAS Gr-A (SB), Bolangir is considered to have disciplinary proceedings. Consequently, it was immediately revoked, the order said. In this time, Mishra was ordered without the Collector ‘s permission not to leave its headquarters.

“He shall be entitled to the payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code,” the suspension order further read.

The case involves a Woman Employee at Mishra ‘s Office suspected physical abuse. The woman employee who told Mishra about the matter was supposed to have made unwanted advances. Bolangir Collector ordered an investigation of the allegations when he was transferred to another Section.
