Sara and Matt's friends and family gathered on a late fall day for their Woman's Club of Portsmouth Wedding!
These two met a few years back when they were working together at the same place. Having used a funny pickup line, Matt made Sara laugh, so she decided to go out with him!
Sara's family are huge wine fans, and they have a home in Northern California, where the views are amazing. It's one of her favorite places to visit, so she and Matt decided to take a trip there. Once they arrived and were looking at the stars, Matt asked Sara to marry him at the family home. During his welcome speech, Sara's dad shared how happy he was that Matt chose the location he did to propose because it made that place even more special to all of them.
They decided on this Wedding venue in Portsmouth, Virginia, near their home because they loved how open and bright it was. The timeless feel was exactly what they wanted for their wedding.
The morning of their wedding, Sara and her bridesmaids wore matching robes paired with the cutest fuzzy slippers! It was the perfect attire for them to get ready in. Once her mother helped her into her gorgeous Stella York wedding gown, she shared a first look with her father. It was emotional for them, and they both shed tears.
Lovely flower statements filled their interior wedding ceremony. The floral pieces included several different greenery pieces that gave a fall look, along with white flowers. Matt and Sara teared up as they said their vows together, and you could feel their love for one another.
Once decorated, the reception space looked stunning. Instead of using ivory linens, they used dark green velvet linen on the tables, which was a perfect match for their theme!
Sara's uncle made special wine for the reception, which was made at his Texas winery.
After everyone enjoyed hearing different speeches and watching the traditional dances, Sara changed into the cutest sequined dress and satin-bow-topped mules! All of their guests had so much fun celebrating the newlyweds.
Sara & Matt, it was so much fun seeing your vision come to life and getting to know you both. I loved working with you for your wedding photography and hope your love continues to grow each day as you share a lifetime of happiness together!
