A lovely fall day brought Tom and Jim’s friends and family together for their Virginia Beach Wedding with Stunning The Commune Wedding Reception!
After meeting each other online, chatting for several months, and then meeting in person, they quickly realized it was love at first sight! Tom proposed to Jim at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens underneath a beautiful cherry blossom tree.

Jim and Tom decided to help each other while getting ready for their wedding instead of enlisting a family member or friend. It was a touching moment of just the two of them helping one another and grabbing a few kisses and hugs while doing so.
Their wedding ceremony was held at Eastern Shore Chapel; its all-white walls with the colorful floral statements they added making the space beautiful. And Tom’s family even has a historical past that he uncovered at the chapel while researching the venue!
During their ceremony, they treated their guests by singing to each other. The two are both talented singers, Tom having sung professionally for many years. Jaws dropped as the Broadway-caliber singing filled the chapel, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the church when they were done.
The Commune was the perfect place for their reception. The exposed brick walls, floral arrangements, and tableware all complimented the couple’s multicolored African Fouta table linens!
Everyone enjoyed a fun evening celebrating the two. A delicious dinner was served, and just enjoying the company of all their friends and family made them so happy.
I have absolutely loved working with these two and seeing their vision come to life for their wedding. Everything went just like they had hoped, but most importantly, they each married the love of their life! Sending my most heartfelt congratulations and wishes for a lifetime of happiness together to Tom and Jim!
