How many times we find ourselves searching for our rings or earrings and we can’t find them because we left them somewhere around in our house? To me it has happened at least very often and since I didn’t have a specific place to put them in, I usually just threw them on the first place where I thought they would not get lost or forgotten, but I ended up not finding them later. / ¿Cuantas veces nos sucede que no encontramos nuestros anillos o aretes, porque los dejamos botados en alguna parte de nuestra casa? Por lo menos a mí me sucedía muy seguido y como no tenía un lugar en específico donde ponerlos, normalmente los botaba en el primer lugar donde creía que no se me perderían o se me olvidarían, pero terminaba por no encontrarlos después.

Sincerely after some time it gets annoying to keep losing things all the time, that is why I decided it was about time to find a solution to this problem and make my own Jewelry Holder. Maybe it would have just been easier to go out there and buy one, but where’s the fun in that right? Besides, I wanted a creative jewelry holder. / Sinceramente después de un rato de estar perdiendo las cosas se convierte en un tema molesto para nosotros, es por esto que decidí que era hora de solucionar el problema y de hacer mi propio joyero. Quizá hubiera sido más sencillo simplemente salir a comprar uno, pero ¿dónde esta lo divertido en eso cierto?. Además yo quería un joyero creativo. 

In this tutorial I will show you how I made my Cactus Jewelry Holder using Dry Air Clay. So if this is your first time using this material or if you didn’t know about it, you’ll be able to see how easy and fun it is. It will provide you with the basic knowledge to keep creating unique pieces. / En este tutorial les enseñaré como hice mi joyero con la forma de un cactus, utilizando pasta moldeable. Así que si es tu primera vez utilizando este material o si no lo conocías verás lo fácil y divertido que es. Te dará el conocimiento básico para después seguir creando piezas únicas.

What materials will you need? / ¿Que materiales necesitarás?

• Dry air clay / Plastilina moldeable
• Roller / Rodillo
• Acrylic paints, in my case I used an Aqua color, dark green, pink and white paint, but it depends on the design you have in mind, so you can use the colors you want. / Pinturas acrílicas, en mi caso use una pintura color Aqua, verde oscuro, rosa y blanco pero dependiendo del diseño que traigas en mente podrás usar los colores que gustes
• Acrylic varnish / Barníz acrílico

• Dry air clay dries pretty quick, you can use some drops of water to moisturize it while you keep working with it, this way you’ll prevent it from having cracks when it dries. / La pasta moldeable se seca bastante rápido, puedes echarle gotitas de agua para estarlo humedeciendo en lo que trabajas con ella, de esta manera evitarás que al secarse tenga grietas.

As you can see it is a very easy material to work with and it is just a matter of being patient. This craft can also be a great gift for Mother’s day, a birthday or any other event since it is original and most of all useful. / This Como pueden ver es muy fácil utilizar este material y realmente es cosa de tener un poco de paciencia. Esta manualidad también sirve como un gran regalo, ya sea para el Día de la Madre, un cumpleaños, o cualquier otro evento ya que es un regalo original y sobre todo útil.
