Skardu: The last location of three mountaineers including Pakistan’s Muhammad Ali Sadpara, who went missing during their winter climb on K2, has been traced through satellite images.

According to details, the satellite images have been shared by Iceland and Chile and are said to be helpful in indentifying the last location of the missing climbers, where the GPS of the team got off.

Following the pictures, preparations are underway for the biggest rescue operation at the world’s second-highest peak.

On February 05, renowned Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara and his expedition team went missing while trying to summit missing K2 and contact with them has not been established since Friday.

Sadpara along with Icelandic mountaineer John Snorri, and Juan Pablo Mohr Prieto were on the K2 Winter Expedition 2021, when they went missing all of a sudden.

Soon after, Pakistan Army launched a rescue and search operation using helicopters in an extremely challenging weather and flew as high as 7,000 meters but was unable to spot anyone.

On the other hand, Sajid Ali Sadpara, son of the much-loved mountaineer, has said that the survival chances of his father and team are zero under such extreme weather conditions.
