Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal is reportedly set for Inter move by the middle of January, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to land the Chilean midfielder despite Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde being adamant that the former Juventus man will stay in Catalonia.

However, the bottom line is that Vidal wants to leave and the reigning La Liga champions could be doing with some extra cash in order to balance the books and reinforce other areas of their squad.

Inter’s opening bid of 12 million euros was deemed to be unsatisfactory but the distance between supply and demand is not considered to be insurmountable. Indeed, it is likely that the gap will be bridged in the coming fortnight.

Of course, the opportunity to work alongside Antonio Conte, with whom he enjoyed so much success in Turin, is another hugely appealing factor for Vidal who is increasingly determined to force his way out of La Blaugrana following a recent contractual dispute regarding unpaid bonuses.
