Buhari sacks FIRS boss Fowler, others

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked seven Service Chiefs over different allegation of non performance. Also some were sacked due to alleged scandals such as abuse of office, corruption, mismanagement of funds, while some were removed after expiration of their tenures.

Buhari sacks Dr. Muiz Banire

Dr. Muiz Banire—Chairman Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). He’s removal was believed to be in tandem with the amended AMCOM act.

Siaka Idoko Akon

Siaka Idoko Akon – Chairman, CEO of Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST). He was removed from office because of corruption.

Prof. Charles Dokubo

Prof. Charles Dokubo—Coordinator, Niger Delta Amnesty Programme. He was sacked on Friday over corruption allegation.

Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita

Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita—Head of Service of Federation; She was suspended due to some allegations of n3 billion contract.

Buhari sacks Rev. Tor Ujah

Rev. Tor Ujah—Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC). He was sacked following the allegation of misappropriation and abuse of office.

Buhari sacks Barr. Bisi Adegbuyi

Barr. Bisi Adegbuyi—Postman general of the federation, Nigeria Postal Service ( NIPOST) He was replaced by Dr. Ismail Adewusi.

Buhari sacks Fowler

Babatunde Fowler—Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS); He was sacked for not meeting revenue target.
