The nominations for the 92nd academy awards aka the Oscar 2020 is out and “Joker” topped the list with a total of 11 nominations. Also, Todd Phillips “Joker” was closely followed by Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman”.

Meanwhile, “Joker” which is a comic book story of Bat’s man biggest foe was nominated for Best picture, Best Director for Todd Phillips and Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix. While ‘Martin Scorsese’s mob epic “The Irishman,”Quentin Tarantino’s ode to Los Angeles “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and Sam Mendes’ war drama “1917” each got 10 nominations.

The Oscar 2020 will air live February 9th on ABC. However the ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke announced that for the second year in a row, the Oscar will go hostless. Recall that Kevin Hart turn down hosting the 2019 Oscar for not being inclusive of black people.
