Headbangers.gr

Finnish melodic heavy metal band Mysterizer released a new single and music video Alea Iacta Est. With this single released the band continues their cooperation with Inverse Records which released their Invisible Enemy debut album in 2019. The single is mixed & mastered at Tico Tico studio by Ahti Kortelainen (Sentenced, Mors Principium Est, Sonata Arctica, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, etc.)

Vocalist Tomi Kurtti comments:
“Alea Iacta Est is the words uttered by Julius Caesar when he crossed the Rubicon with his troops and went to Rome to seize power, that is, the song tells of it. The song is pretty full pounding and here we go loud with a big and massive chorus with several singers. We have also changed the lineup a bit, so you can hear it in a good way”

19th-century illustration, “Caesar crossing the Rubicon.” Romans under Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon River from Gaul into Italy in 49 B.C. Caesar, in breaking Roman law by leading his army back across the river towards Rome, uttered “alea iacta est” (“the die is cast). Thus the expression “crossing the Rubicon” has come to suggest an action that cannot be undone.
