A Chemical Romance

Contemporary Romance

Romance utterly translates to deep love between two people. Essentially, the feelings are so strong that they evoke great emotions. Romance brings out mind-blowing affection from both partners. It is also a mutual attraction that connects people physically and spiritually. If you have experienced any of the specifications, then you have been in love. The best part is that romance has to be practiced coming alive. The romantic actions can differ according to authors. However, one has to do something extraordinary and phenomenal to prove their commitment. Contemporary romance is at the top of the line since it is the most exhilarating literature.

A History of Romance…

It’s no doubt that the United Kingdom has an affluent trail of history. It remains to be the epitome of romance starting as early as 1066. It is worth mentioning that it entailed both drama and poetry in theatres. The performances were so amazing, that you would enjoy sitting and watching them. Poetry embodied allusion to the most fascinating classical myths. The author recited the poems by singing or disseminated them to people’s houses. This time was commonly known as the Elizabethan era that lasted up to 1616. You will be impressed to know that William Shakespeare falls under this category of ancient romance.
Total romanticism then followed between 1750 and 1817 with remarkable publications. The 18thcentury marked the crowning moments of British romantic novels across the entire world. Additionally, the 19thcentury saw the rebirth of top-notch novelists, who wrote outstanding works. It was the Victorian era that encouraged all people to embrace romance. More women also broke ground as they became readers and authors as well. The audience had mixed reactions to the content since some were excited while others were dismayed. Some romantic novels exhibited tales of sexual passion that aroused the various reactions.

During the 1930s, a company called Mills and Boon played a pivotal role in distributing the books. It engaged in direct selling, and the admirable content reached North America. On that account, British novelists had their work read by people outside the UK. It indicated that they had compiled exemplary love stories that were appealing to everyone. In short, the novels were impeccable and attracted all readers regardless of their background.

Three little piggies going to market each,
Changed their minds, went down to the beach.

A great big rock then cracked each head,
And, left the three of them, all stone dead.   R.A.

Three found dead,

throwing a quiet seaside

town into turmoil.
.
The shoreline was deserted apart from

the four individuals cavorting close to

the water’s edge.   A single gull

wheeled overhead screaming out what

might have been a warning, had

anyone understood or been prepared

to listen. Offshore the swell rose and fell ominously, a restless movement like the bulk of a heaving whale, as it too whispered a plea for mercy.

"Last week I took a short break and I packed your book. I had plenty of reading time, but frankly, I did not need it, as once I had an uninterrupted session I quickly got into this riveting story. What a good read." Brendan Roodt
