As you know recently Prasar Bharati approved Indian Manufacturers to produce i-cas enabled MPEG-4 set-top box in India for DD Free Dish DTH.
It is not free to air set-top box, it comes with an inbuilt Indian conditional access system (i-cas) which is suitable to receive DD Free dish MPEG-4 TV channels. A few years ago Prasar Bharati added MPEG-4 slots and TV channels in DD Free dish direct to home service. These channels are encrypted by the Indian conditional access system (i-cas) which can be accessed by using only Prasar Bharati approved & activated DD Fr44ee dish set-top box.
Although, as of now all the MPEG-4 TV channels running free-to-air for a temporary basis, so MPEG-4 TV channels can be accessed by any available free to air set-top box also.
If you have recently bought a DD Free dish i-CAS enabled set-top box, then we will let you know how to activate this box.
- Unbox the DD Free Dish Set-Top box, and connect it with your television set.
- Now you will see, the TV screen which will show error no. 104.
- On the same screen, you will find a passcode.
- Just note the passcode, and check your set-top box gift box, here you will find set-top box serial number.
