Panyachat season 2 trailer is here. On Monday, May 9, Amazon Prime Video unveiled a nearly two-and-a-half-minute trailer for Panyachat’s second season, giving us a taste of what we can expect from the show this time around. It begins with Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, still trying to understand the ways of Phulera, a remote village in Uttar Pradesh. He is seen addressing issues faced by the general public while preparing for contests. As the Panyachat season 2 trailer progresses, we get a glimpse of his budding friendship with Pooja Singh’s Rinky, Pradhan’s daughter, something that was hinted at towards the end of season 1. of Panyachat.

The Panyachat Season 2 trailer features a callback to the “batteries” gag that featured prominently in the first season, a clear indication that you need to watch the previous season to fully enjoy this one. Kumar said in a prepared statement: “Having grown up in the confines of a small town myself, I could understand Abhishek’s dilemmas and hesitations from day one, although he had a greater challenge of transition to rural life.

Panchayat, which premiered on Prime Video in 2020, emerged as a hit due to its simple yet heartwarming storyline, chemistry between the main characters, and heartfelt performances. This established Kumar, who was previously seen at Kota Factory, as a recognizable face on OTT. Based on the trailer, Panchayat Season 2 will likely be able to meet — or hopefully exceed — those standards.

Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta are also part of Panchayat Season 2, reprising their roles from the first season in supporting roles. The veteran artists, last seen together in the 2021 film Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, grabbed attention with their work in the first season. You’d imagine them having an impact here too, provided the script does justice to their abilities.

Created by The Viral Fever, Season 2 of Panchayat continues the banner’s association with Prime Video. The two previously collaborated on the coming-of-age comedy-drama Hostel Daze. Deepak Kumar Mishra is credited as Panchayat Season 2 director.

All episodes of Panchayat 2 will be released on May 20 on Prime Video.
