Experienced trio and Youth Star Left out of Arsenal’s Carabao Cup squad to face Leeds United
Arsenal face Leeds in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup
Arsenal welcome Premier League strugglers Leeds United to the Emirates stadium in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup this evening.
The Gunners have gone seven games in all competitions unbeaten, while their opponents are languishing towards the bottom of the Premier League table, having picked up just two wins all season (one of which was a win on penalties in the last round of this competition).
Nevertheless, a clash with Leeds is always one that requires high-energy, concentration and competence on the ball, as they are one of the most gung-ho sides in the top flight. As such, it was thought that Mikel Arteta would name a strong side.

And, judging by the squad named, this is certainly the case.

Now, as per Fan site TheAFCnewsroom, it is a very mixed squad that is to take on Marcelo Bielsa’s Yorkshire outfit. As per the report, there is no place in the squad for either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang nor Gabriel, both of whom impressed against Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Kieran Tierney is not named either, suggesting that he is yet to recover from the bruised ankle that kept him out of the victory over the Villains on Friday night.

Perhaps more disappointingly for the Gunners faithful making the trip to The Emirates this evening, there is also no space for young prodigy Charlie Patino, who many once again anticipated to be making his debut this evening after failing to do so against AFC Wimbledon.
The full squad list is:
Bernd Leno, Cédric Soares, Rob Holding, Ben White, Thomas Partey, Nuno Tavares, Emile Smith Rowe, Pablo Marí, Calum Chambers, Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli, Alexandre Lacazette, Arthur Okonkwo, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Nicolas Pépé, Mohamed Elneny, Folarin Balogun, Martin Ødegaard, Sead Kolašinac, Sambi Lokonga and Bukayo Saka.
Will the Gunners be able to make it eight unbeaten when they take to the pitch in front of their home fans this evening?
