NNPC Fire: Fake ‘good Samaritan’ absconds with Range Rover in Lagos

On Monday, April 27, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) filling station located at Maternity Bus Stop, Yaya Abatan Street, College Road in Lagos was gutted by fire causing loss of property.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the fire spread to an auto dealer’s mart and some few houses close to the filling station in the area.

In all of the commotion, the auto dealer after successfully moving 30 of his vehicles lost one Range Rover 2008 model, wine color to a supposedly good Samaritan who drove away with the car.

A man identified as Oluwasnowman who is a friend to the auto dealer confirmed this when he took to his social media page to share the crazy tale. He wrote,

A friend of mine shares a fence with the Nnpc that got burnt today and he needed help getting out his cars from the dealership before it got burnt, they had gotten out abt 30cars until one of the guys helping drove away with 2008 Range Rover…

An eye witness took to the micro blogging platform, Tweeter to share the incident, he wrote,

A wine 2008 Range Rover sport was stolen this afternoon during the NNPC fire outbreak in Ogba, the car was stolen by one of those who pretended to help move cars out of the Lot….

He ended by urging the public to report to the nearest police station with helpful information that may lead to the arrest of the thief and the recovery of the car.
