Happy Holidays!

‘Tis the season for family and fun. We’re sharing our Holiday traditions and wishing you and yours the very best. Here’s to sitting by the fire with a warm drink, from all of us at TK Events Inc.

Josh and his family get the award for the postcard Canadian Christmas. When the weather outside is frightful, Josh creates a backyard ice rink for hockey under the Christmas lights, calls over his extended family for a friendly game which is followed by hot chocolate by the wood stove. Pretty awesome, Eh!

Shelbi’s dedicated to carrying on her father’s traditions with a trip to a Christmas tree farm to cut down her own tree, along with shopping and donating presents to a local children’s charity.

With a team of chocolate addicts, it’s really no surprise that holiday baking topped the list (some members starting the process as early as the beginning of December for a weekend of decorating and baking to Christmas carols!) along with ugly Christmas sweater and potluck parties with friends. White Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Cookies, Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls and Nutchos are what we’ll be indulging in over the next few weeks. @us for the recipes.

What better way to enjoy all the tasty treats than with the quintessential Christmas movies: Polar Express, Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Holiday and Love Actually are all a ‘must watch’ for the TK team.

Christmas Eve brings the magic of setting a special plate of cookies for Santa and a traditional feast for Nathalie, her husband, and her two littles.

When we’ve all had our turkey and stuffing, Nat thinks there’s no better way to settle in for the rest of the holidays than with epic board game battles with the family.  She always wins, or so she tells us.

Savanah also shared her favourite Hanukkah tradition: a feast of homemade latkes with her family with all the fixings. These are always handmade and take almost an entire day to make. Talk about a labour of love.

So there you have it, TK team traditions and holiday favourites all wrapped  into one (see what we did there?) What a great year it’s been, we can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for all of us.

Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year from TK Events Inc.
