Spike Ivory is a veteran singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist producer who has spent the better part of the last four decades touring the globe as both a solo artist and bandleader. He’s been making music and entertaining live audiences ever since he signed his first record deal back in the 1980s. His sound is inspired by the classic rock and pop of the 70s, paired with a modern production aesthetic.

In recent years Spike has spent much of his time in the studio. He has dropped a string of popular singles since 2022, and recently released his first full-length album since 2005’s Velvet Chains. The thirteen-song collection is an excellent showcase for this multi-talented artist’s unique yet immediately familiar vibe.

“True Love is Hard to Find” is the current single from Spike Ivory’s new album Outside Looking In, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A percussive rhythm guitar opens the track with an urgent energy. Soon a full classic rock ensemble of bass, drums, and piano enters the mix as the singer steps to the mic for an inspirational love anthem. In the chorus, he and a female backing vocalist deliver an infectiously catchy radio-ready hook.
