Zachary Campos is set to drop a brand new album. Readers of The Static Dive will remember the multifaceted creator from San Jose, California. Campos has appeared on these pages numerous times with a string of genre-smashing releases.

Equally inspired by hip-hop and alternative rock, Zach’s music pairs old-school rhymes and proto-punk guitars with a modern lo-fi aesthetic. The result is a sort of Iggy Pop meets Kool Moe Dee vibe.

“Scorching” is the lead single from Zach’s new forthcoming 10 minute 10 song alternative hip-hop album Funky MC, set to be released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 29th, 2024. Clocking in at just 1:09, Zach delivers an old-school braggadocios freestyle over a grungy power-chord beat.
