MC Shep is back with a brand new old-school dance jam. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember him from releases like “Still Crushin” and his 2022 solo debut single and video “Super Shimmy Shuffle“. Those tracks introduced a veteran Atlanta-based recording artist with a decades-deep résumé as an in-demand producer in his hometown’s red hot music scene.

Since his debut, the prolific producer has amassed an impressive volume of work, including three albums and nearly two dozen singles. He has connected with fans worldwide on popular tracks like his 2023 cover of the Bob Marley classic “Three Little Birds“. On his latest single, he introduces a brand new dance with a very old-school vibe.

“ATL Stepping” is the brand new single and video from MC Shep, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 11, 2023. On the track, a live ensemble of bass, drums, guitar lays down a 70s-style funk groove. Classic analog synths and horns set the scene as MC Shep calls out dance moves on the mic.
