Kele Fleming is back with a brand new remix collaboration. Regular readers of The Static Dive have been following the Canadian singer/songwriter for more than three years, as she has dropped a string of new originals and cutting-edge remixes. In addition to being an eclectic and prolific recording artist, Kele is a veteran of Vancouver’s legendary live music scene.

After fronting a popular touring alternative rock band throughout the 1990s, Kele Fleming launched a successful solo career. For over two decades she has produced an impressive catalog of genre-defying indie folk, rock, and electronic music. Her latest release continues a series of innovative EDM remixes of her original songs.

“Sturgeon Love (Marc O’rell remix)” is the brand new single from Kele Fleming, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 26, 2024. Kele’s music often shines a light on environmental issues. The original “Sturgeon Love” was her 2021 alt-pop ode to the fish of Canada’s Fraser River. On the new track, Germany-based DJ and producer Marc O’rell reimagines the tune as a dreamy tech-house vibe, creating a hypnotic soundscape as the singer’s poetry paints the periphery.
