The Antenna Tribe is the creative vehicle of independent songwriter-producer Sean Whalen. The Los Angeles-based musician debuted the project in 2021 with the single “Gold Mine”. That track introduced a chilled downtempo electronic vibe built on elements of classic trip-hop and modern downtempo electronic styles.

The Static Dive has followed Sean’s musical journey since the release of the Antenna Tribe’s 2022 single “Two Hearts”. Working with professional vocalists from around the world, the prolific producer has followed with a remarkable volume of work, including nearly two dozen singles, four EPs, and a full-length album. Earlier this month he dropped his first music of the new year. 

“Masks” is the brand new single from The Antenna Tribe, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 1, 2024. On the track, Sean once again teams up with vocalist okafuwa. Regular readers will remember the singer from 2023’s “Timeless“. The song opens on a dark pop vibe. Minor-key synths, organ and percussive electronic arpeggios set the mood as the singer offers a soulful meditation on the complex facade’s we present to one another.
