We first heard from Sky Keyz in July of last year, upon the release of the single “Left Behind“. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to Darion Jackson. He is a multi-talented songwriter, producer, and recording artist from Tucson, Arizona with a genre-bending sound.

Over the last five years, Jackson has released a deep catalog of original work under various artist names and with a string of collaborators. He debuted as Sky Keyz in 2020 with the album Our World, a collaboration with fellow independent rapper/singer Ty Keyz.

“Escape” is the brand new single from Sky Keyz, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 8, 2024. Jackson is joined on the song by platinum selling singer, songwriter, and rapper Clever. Pizzicato string arpeggios open the tune as the singers step to the mic. They trade verses about breaking free from toxic relationships and their own self-destructive thoughts. Soon a lo-fi beat meets a wall of power chords and guitar shredding, and the track builds to a fist-pumping rock & roll anthem.
