Sky Canyon is a veteran recording artist and multi-instrumentalist composer. The prolific musician has produced a decades-deep catalog of music ranging from rock to classical, and especially Jazz. He recently dropped his first new music of 2024.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Sky Canyon’s music career has spanned five decades, from early years in a touring 70s rock band, to studying jazz percussion with vibraphone master Terry Gibbs. Sky is an eclectic creator who has worked extensively in both the musical and publishing worlds. An author in his own right, he was also the founding president of internationally distributed publisher, New World Library. 

“Subtle Approach (New Version)” is the brand new single from Sky Canyon, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 2, 2024. A solo piano opens the track as a percussion ensemble eases into the mix. Soon the band joins in and lays down a smooth Latin jazz groove. Sky’s vibraphone shares the spotlight with a smoking blues-infused guitar and some tasty Hammond organ as the band chills this cool Santana-inspired vibe.
