In Case of Elimination (aka ICE) is the brainchild of emerging independent recording artist Alexander Warf. He dropped the project’s debut single “Past Orion” in August 2023. That song introduced a genre-bending singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist producer from Chicago, Illinois.

Inspired by groundbreaking alternative Rock bands like The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Cage the Elephant, ICE’s sound is a fluid mix of modern indie and classic new wave vibes. It’s a musical journey that started years ago, when the Jack Black-blockbuster School of Rock first inspired a nine year-old Alexander to pick up the guitar. He recently dropped his first new music of 2024.

“Partner in Crime” is the brand new single from In Case of Elimination, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 31, 2024. Recalling great dark wave singers like Joy Division‘s Ian Curtis or Bauhaus‘ Peter Murphy, in a cool and low tenor, Warf tells the tale of his search for a new love. He is accompanied by a sonic wall of indie rock guitars and synths.
