Ronnue Drops New Retro Seattle Soul

Ronnue is a veteran independent singer-songwriter who made his professional solo recording debut in 2016 with the single “It’s Called Love”. Since then the prolific Seattle Soul man has released a string of popular singles, six EPs, and two full-length albums. 2023 has turned out to be his most successful year to date.

In February Ronnue dropped his latest EP R&B is Not Dead. With over a million streams streams across multiple platforms, the six-song set of retro grooves is proving its title to be true. The record’s chart-topping single is still tearing up the airwaves.

“You Got Me Open” is the current single from Ronnue’s new EP R&B is Not Dead, available worldwide via all major streaming services. A mellow slap bass, a pulsing kick drum, and staccato piano chords open the track on a chilled funk groove. The singer steps to the mic and delivers a laid-back serenade about the confusion of new love. Smooth vocal harmonies paint the edges of the mix and contribute to the tune’s mellow soul vibe.
