Decortique is an independent electronic music producer who made his solo professional recording debut in 2022. The veteran Norwegian recording artist and composer has an eclectic and experimental sound. He worked on a number of collaborative projects over the last decade before embarking out on his own.

Citing the influence of leading French touch artists like pioneering electronic group Daft Punk, Decortique creates a uniquely modern yet retro vibe. It is a wildly creative sound inspired by a broad range of genres including disco, house, and funk. The visionary producer creates a captivating mix, built on both organic and electronic elements.

“Elfin Fee” is the title track and current single from Decortique’s new three-song EP, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 26, 2023. The song is a remastered version of his debut single. Percussive electronic arpeggios open the track as the beat lands on an upbeat electro-pop vibe. Ambient synths, hand percussion, and hypnotic vocal samples paint the edges of the mix as a pulsing bass rides a driving four on the floor groove.
