Levi Grxce is an independent recording artist who has spent the better part of the last decade amassing an impressive volume of work. Since he was a teenager, the singer, songwriter, and rapper has released 18 albums of genre-bending alternative hip-hop. He cites a wide-range of artists as inspiration for his sound, from Johnny Cash to Kendrick Lamar.

A native of California, the 25 year-old producer briefly studied music in college but left dissatisfied. He now composes, performs, and produces his music entirely on his own. He previously recorded under the moniker Levii. This year the rapper is making his wide-distribution debut as Levi Grxce.

Celestial is the brand new full-length album from Lexi Grxce, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 6, 2023. The seventeen-song set is a trippy ride, set to a downtempo beat. At the helm is a rapper/singer with a knack for soulful melodic rhymes about drugs, philosophy, and mental health.

Grxce steers this ganja-fueled hip-hop ship from the electric piano chill of “Lift Off” to the dreamy synth-pop meditation on the fragility of reality, “Eagle Has Landed”. Along the way he digs into some dark trap grooves on tracks like “Goldilocks” and “Story of an Underdog”, and gets experimental on songs like the wonderfully titled “Sometimes You Just Gotta Say Fuck It”, with its groovy phonk/glitch beat and funky syncopated wordplay.

There is a psychedelic thread that runs through the album. That vein goes deep with the cool percussive analog synth lead and subterranean bass of “Reality Crumbled”, and the hypnotic avant-garde rap “She Threw My Peace”. “Portal Gun” takes a fun sci-fi twist with a Rick & Morty inspired freestyle. Levi Grxce picks up the tempo with a bit of disco-infused funk motivation on “Wake Up Call”. “Rich Boy Summah” revisits that 70’s vibe with a cool mix of soul and old-school hip-hop.
