Kill City is an independent hard rock band who made their recording debut in 2019 with the single “Believe Me”. That introduced a heavy metal-powered quintet comprised of Andres Miranda, Xavier Diab, Luis Neme, Juan Miguel Iturralde and Chemel Neme. The Ecuadorian group has a hard-hitting sound inspired by decades of guitar-fueled rock.

Since their debut, the prolific rockers have released eight singles and two full-length albums. Although the band officially formed four years ago, they have known each other much longer. Andres, Xavier, Juan and the Neme brothers have played together in numerous combinations and in different bands over the years.

Civilized to Death is the latest album from Kill City, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The eleven-song set continues the high-octane momentum they started with their debut album Last Man Standing. To date, that album has over 200K streams on Spotify. Their new record has already spawned even bigger hits, like grunge/metal “Find Yourself” and the Sunset Strip style rocker “Another Fucking Love song”.

From the virtuosic prog-rock of the introductory “Fools Bargain”, to the epic power ballad title song closer, Civilized to Death is a wild Marshall stack-driven ride. Kill City is a versatile band. Although their sound is solidly rooted in a power-chord foundation, they color that sound with a broad range of musical styles and elements.

They drop classic speed metal riffs on tracks like “The Light” and the melodic rocker “La Verdad”. “Pretend” is an emotional ballad featuring some arena-worthy guitar solos. Whether they’re rocking out 80s-style on “Running”, or going dark, slow, heavy and deep on “December”, each member of the band is at the top of his game throughout the album.
