The prolific and talented Psychcloned returns with a new entry into his extensive library of genre-defying instrumental music. Also known as North Carolina-based composer and producer Gabriel Pureco, since his debut in 2020 the gifted musician has released five albums, a dozen singles and two EPs. Readers of The Static Dive have followed the project from the beginning.

Gabriel has originally inspired by the themes and scores from his favorite video games. He set out to create his own gamer soundtrack. Before long however, the project grew into a multigenre collaborative endeavor involving musicians from around the world helping bring the PsychCloned vision to life.

“Enigma” is the brand new single from PsychCloned, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 2, 2022. The aptly titled track is a stylistic riddle that is a lot of fun to unwrap. Joined once again by frequent collaborators Camilo D.G. (guitar) and Space Hobo (drums), Gabriel offers a fabulous cinematic genre-fluid jam.

The track opens on an EDM beat and a melodic mix of acoustic and electric prog-rock guitars. As the song progresses the beat evolves to include live drums, synths and strings. Soon the mood shifts into a classical/cinematic sound. The tune alternates between rock and electronic vibes before landing on a nice Pat Metheny style jazz fusion outro.
