We first heard from Becky Raisman in June of last year upon the release of her debut single “Summertime Sugar.” That tune introduced readers of The Static Dive to a multi-talented singer, songwriter, keyboardist, comedian, beatboxer and LGBTQ+ artist based in Charleston, South Carolina. A native of Chicago, Becky migrated to the coast about 4 years ago.
Beck Raisman began her formal music training when she was a student at Columbia College Chicago. There she studied voice with instructors like Tamara Anderson, Jeffrey Morrow. Since moving to the coast she has focused on performance and composition skills and has continued her musical training with piano lessons. The singer followed her debut with the three song EP “This is My Moment.”
“Hypnotized” is the latest single from Becky Raisman, released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 1, 2022. Once again the singer delivers a sweet summer romance with tropical vibes just in time for the beach. The track rides on a percussive steel drum and marimba rhythm. Melodic synths paint the edge of the mix as Becky since a heartfelt love song.
