Here in the time of reckoning

fate designates truth, echoing

a mention of names, beckoning

Those left on the cusp, questioning

A moment to pause, here and now

to enjoy little gifts somehow

A sparkle of inspiration

with some love and admiration

for each part of the foundation

and all that makes this creation

To face judgement, tall and proud

to speak each conviction aloud

And when occasions come this way,

those decisions to work or play,

I’ll take my chances, come what may

to find a balance every day
