Rich Homie Quan is the stage name of the American rapper Dequantes Lamar. He started releasing music in the early 2010s. Bit by bit, he built up his reputation, thus enabling him to release a studio album for the first time in 2018.
Currently, Rich Homie Quan is an independent artist at the head of his independently-owned record label, Rich Homie Entertainment.

10. “Everything I Got”
Rich Homie Quan has often collaborated with other rappers. For instance, he, Birdman, and Young Thug make up Rich Gang, which released a mixtape called Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1 in 2014. “Everything I Got” is one of the songs from the mixtape. It sees the rappers musing about their wealth. On the one hand, they are thrilled by it; on the other hand, they are well aware of how their wealth changes how other people interact with them.
9. “Tell Em”
“Tell Em” is another song from the same mixtape. Interested individuals should know it is a remix of a Bandit Gang Marco song. However, “Tell Em” is more than capable of standing on its own merits, not least because Rich Homie Quan is quite different from Bandit Gang Marco.
8. “34”
This song is one of the more recent releases on this list. After all, it came out on Rich as in Spirit, which came out in 2018. The song’s name is a reference to Herschel Walker’s number as a football player. That said, “34” takes more inspiration from Rich Homie Quan’s life than anything else. Its lyrics go into a fair amount of detail on how he grew up, thus providing context for the sense of want that spurred him toward success.
7. “Risk Takers”
“Risk Takers” is an even more release from Family & Mula in 2022. The latter shows some significant changes from its predecessors. Something that makes perfect sense considering how much has changed in Rich Homie Quan’s life.
For example, he is now a parent. Similarly, he has put some serious effort into learning about business to become a better CEO. On top of these things, Rich Homie Quan is just a more experienced individual with more control over his creative output, meaning he is in a very different position from where he was just a few years ago.
Fortunately, “Risk Takers” is by no means inferior to what has come before, meaning it is a worthwhile follow-up to his earlier material.
6. “Blah Blah Blah”
“Blah Blah Blah” is one of Rich Homie Quan’s two singles from I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In. It never met with the same kind of success as its counterpart. Despite this, “Blah Blah Blah” shouldn’t be skipped over because it has its charm.
5. “The Most”
“The Most” was released as a single without being attached to any album or mixtape. That suggests that Rich Homie Quan and his team had a fair amount of confidence in its value. If so, they were right because this is another song that is well worth listening to.
4. “Walk Thru”
“Walk Thru” would be the other single from I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In. Unlike its counterpart, it did quite well on the charts. Specifically, “Walk Thru” made it to the number 74 position on the Billboard Hot 100, which isn’t bad considering the sheer amount of competition that exists for the chart at any given time. The song was the product of a team-up between Rich Homie Quan and Problem. It wouldn’t have its intriguing note of West Coast influence without that.
3. “Ride Out”
Interested individuals might be familiar with “Ride Out” if they aren’t particularly aware of Rich Homie Quan. That is because it is the lead single of the Furious 7 soundtrack. As such, “Ride Out” managed to borrow some of the long-running franchise’s momentum for its own. The song never topped the charts. Even so, a peak of 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 is no small achievement.
Of course, it should be mentioned that Rich Homie Quan wasn’t the only rapper working on the song. Instead, it was a joint effort between him and four other rappers, whose combined efforts made it something that none of them could have managed on their lonesome.
2. “Type of Way”
“Type of Way” wasn’t Rich Homie Quan’s debut single. However, it does deserve mention for being the first one to bring him serious public interest. That is because the song rose as high as number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 8 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs.
Moreover, people were willing to prove their interest because it managed to sell more than 500,000 copies. Famously, “Type of Way” has been described as being clever enough for it to stand out, thus enabling it to claim an advantage from the bulk of its competition.
1. “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)”
“Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” is more or less what it sounds like. The funny thing is that it went on to live up to its name by selling more than 2 million copies. That wasn’t the first time Rich Homie Quan had been involved in the making of a platinum-selling or even multi-platinum-selling song. The man is well-known for working with others, which has produced some very notable results over time.
Still, this song is special because it is the first platinum seller on which Rich Homie Quan was the lead artist. Even now, it remains his most successful single, though only time can tell whether it will ever be surpassed.
