Vijay Ratnakar Gutte’s Vayusena Starring Emraan Hashmi As IAF Officer

After playing the role of a cop in Gangster, Emraan Hashmi is all set to play the role of an IAF officer in his upcoming film.

The actor has been on a career high lately with films like Chehre and Vayusena on his plate. He has also signed a Gangster drama with Sanjay Gupta.

Director Vijay Gutte confirmed the news with a leading daily and said that,

“Emraan hasn’t played a character like this before, and he loves such roles. It was an instant nod from him. It’s a human interest story that starts with the 1971 Indo-Pak war and ends with the Indo-Pak Kargil War of 1999. We plan to film at a real airbase, and it’d be great if the authorities allow us to use real fighter planes to present the story correctly and realistically. We are hopeful that the permission will come through soon.”

The story is based on a retired Air Commodore Kariyadil Cheriyan Kuruvilla in 1971 Indo-Pak and 1999 Indo-Pak Kargil war. Emraan has never played a role like this before and seeing him playing such a character would be a delight for the audience.

The actor is not only geared up for his lined up films but also for projects like Shah Rukh Khan’s Netflix production Bard Of Blood.
