Declan Rice drops F-bomb at West Ham bus parade - and it's broadcast live on BBC

Declan Rice got lost in the moment during West Ham's trophy parade celebrations on Thursday night and dropped an F-bomb live on the BBC

Declan Rice dropped a huge F-bomb during West Ham’s Europa Conference League trophy parade live on television.

The Irons celebrated winning their first major trophy in over 40 years against Fiorentina by partying until the early hours of Thursday morning, before flying home for an open-top bus parade in east London.

Hammers supporters flooded the streets to get a glance as their heroes slowly made their way from Barking Road to Stratford Town Hall.

And after finally reaching the end point, where thousands gathered to celebrate with the players, captain Rice took to the microphone to share some impassioned words.

The midfielder said: “To be honest with you, I didn’t expect this many people to turn up tonight. But it is West Ham so, we’re f***ing massive, ain’t we?!”

He let out a roar as the fans responded with their own cheers, before the BBC apologised for the bad language - despite it being past the 9pm watershed.

Fans on Twitter quickly chimed in by saying: “How can you possibly dislike Declan Rice… He’s just a really top bloke isn’t he?”

Another replied: “As a Spurs fan talking about about a West Ham legend who is likely going to be an Arsenal player I should really disagree. But I don’t. He’s an awesome bloke.”

Rice had said moments before his excited outburst: "To lift this trophy for this club hasn't hit me yet. It is so special. I am lost for words.

"These are the best fans in the world again for me - two years in a row now we have been in Europe and they travel all around to follow us.

"The future is bright, we have some top players. Let's see what it holds."

However, his appearance on stage in Stratford is likely to be his last in a West Ham shirt.

Club chairman David Sullivan on Thursday revealed Rice had his "heart set on leaving" the Hammers, having reached a gentleman’s agreement last summer to be allowed to depart at the end of this season.
