With her single, “Life’s Been Crazy,” out now, we took some time to hear more from Gabrielle Lynn. Read below to learn more about Gabrielle Lynn, the story behind her single, and what’s to come.

Hi Gabrielle Lynn! Let’s start with how did you get your artist name?

Gabrielle is my first name and Lynn is my middle name.

What city are you from and where are you based now?

I am from Minneapolis, MN and based in Virginia.

At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? How did you get started?

I’ve always had a love for music and singing. I sang when I was in high school and in the choir, but I didn’t take it seriously until I was around twenty-one. I became connected to some people who helped me transform my love for music into a career.

Has your upbringing played a role in shaping who you are and defining your sound today? If so, how?

At some point in your life, everyone is either motivated/inspired by their upbringing. It drives a person to become creative, it crafts your purpose, and it shapes your future. All of these things have helped me become who I am today.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

Sade is someone that I’m compared to a lot, which is not a bad thing at all – it’s actually an honor. She has influenced me a lot when it comes to my music.

Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?

Yes, I have a lot of hobbies! I love to paint, and I love to play video games.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

For me, it’s Sade, and it’s not just her music/voice, but how she carries herself in this business. Even now, as successful and well known as she is, Sade still has her private life.

What are some of your future music career goals?

String music is something that I am exploring now as well – creating these short theatrical themes of string sequences, something that could be featured in films. I play them myself on the keyboards.

Now onto your release, ‘Life’s Been Crazy.’ What inspired this song?

‘Life’s Been Crazy’ – the journey as a single mother, working multiple jobs, and praying for a better future. It’s an authentic narrative. It’s a song written to resonate with anyone who has ever overcome the odds to succeed.

What is ‘Life’s Been Crazy’ about in your own words?

These lyrics in the song are my words that were written from my true experience in my life. – ‘Life’s been crazy, single mom, two babies. Worked two jobs and still struggled in the daily.’ These are my words and life story.

What is your favorite lyric in ‘Life’s Been Crazy’ and why?

‘This time I know, I can’t let go, big goals, big dreams, this is real sh*t I gotta get it through.’

What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from ‘Life’s Been Crazy?’

No matter what obstacles are ahead, never let them stop you from pursuing your dreams. It’s still very much possible to reach them.

What’s one of the proudest moments of your music career so far?

Every moment is a proud moment, to point at one particular thing wouldn’t be fair. Even the moments when things aren’t going my way. I am proud of those moments as well. It’s all about growth and embracing the process.

What would you say are the greatest lessons that you’ve learned so far?

PATIENCE, haha.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects, or do you have any upcoming shows that we should be on the lookout for?

Music video for ‘Life’s Been Crazy,’ album, and hopefully some shows in the making this summer. Looking forward to that. As of now, no official dates yet.
