Bharti Airtel Ltd.: Airtel shareholders approve VSAT functions merger plan

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel’s shareholders have authorised a proposed scheme of arrangement among Airtel, Bharti Airtel Companies, Hughes Communications India and HCIL Comtel, with 9998 for every cent of votes cast in favour of the merger.
In May well final year, telecom operator Bharti Airtel and Hughes Communications India Ltd (HCIL) said they will merge their VSAT (quite-little-aperture terminal) satellite functions in the state, with Hughes keeping a the vast majority stake in the merged entity.
In a filing on Tuesday, Bharti Airtel informed the BSE about the details of voting outcomes of court-convened conference that was held on July 31, where the scheme of arrangement was put to vote.

In scenario of public institutions and public non-establishments, votes forged in favour have been 9996 for every cent and 9999 for each cent, respectively.
