The latest reports suggest that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been roped in to reprise former CM of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa in Thalaivi. This is indeed a massive opportunity for a Bollywood actress, who is not fluent in Tamil, to explore her acting grounds.

Thalaivi is believed to be made in three languages (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi), Kangana Ranaut’s inclusion will ensure that the film gets a wider reach across the country.

Composer GV Prakash, took to Twitter to reveal the big news. Kangana Ranaut movie budget rumours

Director Vijay, in a statement, said,

“The stature of this tall leader and courage inspired me to say yes as soon as I was offered this opportunity. I feel very responsible and decided to work very hard and relentlessly to deliver an honest biopic. Nothing can be as perfect as this occasion to reveal the title Thalaivi, which I believe is the greatest celebration.“

Earlier there were reports that the actress will get highest amount of Rs. 24 crores for her role in the film. But putting a rest to these rumors a source close to the director revealed that she is getting around Rs. 12 crores. The team of the makers has received a no objection certificate from the late Chief Minister’s nephew Deepak Jayakumar. The film is expected to go on floors in the coming months.
