The world’s most scandalous cartel boss Joaquin El Chapo Guzman has been discovered guilty in a US court of drug trafficking.
Jurors in a federal court in New York discovered Guzman, 61, liable on each of the 10 counts.

Lawyer for the Eastern District of New York Richard Donoghue says he expects Guzman to receive life imprison without the chance for further appeal when condemned on June 25.
El Chapo Guzman, a major figure in Mexican drug wars that have roiled the nation since 2006, was extradited to the US for trial in 2017 after he was captured in Mexico.
He now faces life in prison after the verdict, accused of leading the powerful Sinaloa drugs cartel, which became one of the biggest suppliers of drugs to the United States.
He showed no emotion while the verdict was read.
