Ibrahim Idris To Quit As Buhari Picks Adamu As New IG Of Police

There are signs at the Force Headqaurters in Abuja that a new IG Of Police, AIG Abubakar Adamu Mohammed from Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, has been designated to supplant Ibrahim Idris, who is scheduled to retire from office.

The new IG Of Police, Adamu was AIG in charge of Zone 5 Benin before he was sent to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru in Plateau State.

He was said to have been sent on the mandatory seminar on the doubt that he was penciled down by the presidency to succeed the outgoing IGP.

Numerous Nigerians have kicked the against an alleged move by President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the tenure of the outgoing IGP, putting together their charges with respect to the thought that there are plans to utilize Idris’s influence to control the presidential election planned for February 2019.

It was reported that Idris had attempted wild endeavors to get his tenure extended but was unsuccessful. Additionally, tension built by the opposition parties contributed to the President’s inevitable choice to revoke the first extension plan.
