I was just admitted into the school  for the first Semester I was coming from home my perspective about university life changed I knew 5 cpga wasn’t something you could just say and attain like that it wasn’t like my secondary School whereby third term matterd the most,It required a lot rigorous reading and overnight I did well a little bit above average in my first semester, first Semester wasn’t easy because I had to leave home around 6 o’clock and I’ll get home by 9 o’clock sometimes 12 o’clock same routine throughout  my first semester but I had no choice then my second semester I moved to a private hostel this was when I saw the true colour of the outside world .

We got to my new hostel by 11:46 it wasn’t what I expected tho an old three story building  my mum took me the hostel keeper Mr ayedun a tall dark skinned man looks like he’s still I’m his late 20’s he sounded nice but that didn’t still let me feel at home.I checked into my room the room wasn’t spacious a little bit manageable tho it consist of two bunks each bunk had two beds up and down a little kitchen and  a bathroom thank God the bathrooms are not outside the first thing I noticed was that we were to be two on a bed I grumbled a little bit but what can I do I can’t ask for a refund it’s better than coming from home tho I went for my morning lectures one bad habit I have is that I don’t know how to make friends easily so I didn’t talk to any of the roomates that morning , lecture was boring that day it was crs I ended up dozing off in class no big deal m not the only one, until my school crush Rachel woke me up it was time we leave The class I joined the remaining squad and we walked out of the school I got to my room and my rommies welcomed me we exchanged names and found out they were cool I made a best friend David he was just like me an hardcore gamer we talked about games we both played exchanged contacts and I was introduced to his best friend Nelson we made an awesome trio I still continued my school life tho I had a crush or let’s say technically she was my Girlfriend I just didn’t have the balls to ask her out she was cool with it she never complained we continued our love life I was so proud of my girl I used to boast about her with my bestiesOn this faithful Wednesday went to class as usual got just one lectures so I decided to take my girlfriend to a game house played with my girlfriend she won most of the time though I let her win all in the name of love it was already 4:00 besides have spent a lot of money told her I was about to leave we kissed good bye she wasn’t ready to go with me then she said she’s waiting for her brother Sammy I couldn’t wait so I had to go I didn’t know what  was pushing me tho maybe my account balance but thank  God I left the place on my way I met David and Nelson he just broke his phone screen probably during gaming he’s an emotional guy doesn’t like loosing just like me he wanted to repair his screen so I followed him back to the school fortunately it wasn’t far from where I just left so I decided to introduce my besties to my girlfriend I walked gallantly to the game house in other to introduce my girlfriend to my besties I couldn’t believe my eyes behold she was romancing my friend leke she didn’t even stop when she saw me I felt betrayed I could feel my heartbeat forcing his way through my chest I felt dizzy my friends told me to leave the sight should go get a bottle of cold water so I did we they advised me not to talk about It nor Think about it I couldn’t help it so I was played I fell sick the next morning tho that’s when things changed I didn’t go to school anymore I just didn’t feel like instead I stay all day in my hostel with my new besties playing gameor just talking about the latest stuffs trust me we are trendy got intorduced to marijuana in matter of time I became a papi aka smoke itself I changed I didn’t think about my background anymore I just wanted to wake up in the morning play a game or to chat sleep smoke in the night get wasted sleep and continue the same routine now it’s just aYb month to our final exam I.e jupeb I came back to my right senses but it was too late I tried reading I couldn’t assimilate I just wanted to smoke I couldn’t read for an hour I would get bored and sleep then this thought came to my mind so far I could pass my entrance without reading I could also pass this not knowing this was another ball game entirely I wrote the exams it seemed simple it’s another smash I hope the results came and I was a point bellow cutoff I made my mum cry she lost an investment that’s my diploma program I wasted my time my besties also failed but they are from a rich home unlike me they flew abroad to further their studies funny enough my ex passed then I asked myself self the question “why me” then I saw a way a professor came to my aid but I had to start from the grassroot after waiting at home for the whole year as I saw my mates move forward and my Junior’s also I couldn’t stand I wanted to take my life but it was just to hard to take it I  learnt my lessons in a bitter way am glad I did am never going to make my mum cry again once again my name is James otchemore and that’s my story..The end...
