Serendipity Arts Residency 2023 Open Studio brings together a series of works by six artist residents who have created a body of artworks ranging from installations, immersive performances and videos that will be on public view from October 7 to October 16 at Serendipity Arts Foundation, Defence Colony.

The preview is on Friday, October 6 at Serendipity Arts Foundation, from 6 PM to 10 PM. The show will continue at the venue till October 16, 2023.

This year’s residency program has chosen its artists from a pool of applicants spanning the entire country. The final selection of artists was done by the jury comprising Vikram Iyengar, Sanchayan Ghosh, Sumangala Damodaran, Sandeep Sangaru, and Sahej Rahal. The artists-in-residence for the 2023 edition are Richa Arya, Salman Bashir Baba, Dileep Chilanka, Sewali Deka, Surbhi Mittal aka pale blue dotter, and French artist Massandje Sanogo. From exploring the enduring struggles of female migrant labourers in Delhi to decoding the dreams of people, these artists have experimented with forms and practices to create a series of thought-provoking works.

The Open Studio is one of the core highlights of the Serendipity Arts Festival’s programming and the exhibition will also be showcased at South Asia’s biggest interdisciplinary art festival’s 2023 edition in Panjim, Goa from 15-23 December 2023.
