Akshay Kumar likes to keep himself busy with projects and he will join South Indian superstar Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan in the movie Atrangi Re.  The Good Newwz actor will reportedly play a special role in the movie.

Dhanush will be seen in a Bollywood movie after a long while.  Atrangi Re is directed by Aanand L. Rai, who is known for his movies Raanjhanaa and Tanu Weds Manu.  Dhanush already appeared in two Bollywood films, Raanjhanaa and Shamitabh.  He won the Filmfare Award for Best Acting Debut (Male) for his role in Raanjhanaa.  Dhanush also starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh.

The first look posters of Atrangi Re were released on social media platforms and they show Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar.  Sara Ali Khan posted on her Twitter, saying she could not believe her luck.

The plot of Atrangi Re is still unknown and the movie will begin its shoot on March 1st, 2020.  A.R. Rahman will compose the music for this movie. 

Sara Ali Khan will next be seen in the movie Love Aaj Kal, which is a sequel to Love Aaj Kal (2009.)  The movie is set to be released on February 14th, 2020.  Akshay Kumar will appear in Bachchan Pandey, Laxmmi Bomb and Sooryavanshi, apart from other movies which are lined up for release.

On the other hand, the Dhanush-Sara Ali Khan-Akshay Kumar starrer Atrangi Re is slated for release on Valentine’s Day 2021.
