Dharma Productions, which is currently headed by Karan Johar, is one of the biggest and oldest production houses in Bollywood. This production house is known to have launched the careers of many actors like Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, to name a few.
The production house has always stuck to making films based on Indian family values and traditions and delivered many blockbusters. However, for a change, the production house finally ventures into the Horror Genre with the movie Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship.
The movie is about a couple stranded on a ship which is lying on a beach. Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship is said to be based on a true incident which happened in Mumbai. This movie stars Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles and Bhanu Pratap Singh is the director.
Karan Johar posted on his Twitter handle that the home of happy endings is getting a plot twist. To mark the occasion, the social media accounts of Dharma Productions on various platforms went dark, ditching the white background for a darker background. #DharmaGoesDark started trending on Twitter.
