Love Aaj Kal, the Imtiaz Ali directorial, was released in 2009 and starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in leading roles.  The movie went on to become a massive hit at the box office and was also remade as Teen Maar for the Telugu audience.

After a decade, the original is getting a sequel, which is named the same as the original (Love Aaj Kal.)  The sequel is directed by Imtiaz Ali as well.  This time, however, the movie stars latest generation actors Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, who is incidentally Saif Ali Khan’s daughter.

The first poster of the film was released on Twitter by the production company Maddock Films and it shows the lead pair in the film, Veer and Zoe.  The poster shows two timelines, 1990 and 2020. The official tweet read, “Meet Veer & Zoe, captured in their element. It’s in these simple, candid moments that love plays peekaboo, right? #LoveAajKal Trailer out tomorrow! (sic.)”

The tweet also said the trailer of the film will be released tomorrow.  The Love Aaj Kal sequel is scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day 2020, which falls on February 14th.
