Good Newwz, which was recently released in theaters, is doing splendidly well, if the collection numbers are any indication of its success.  The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Singh Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor and Kiara Advani.

The movie is about how two couples with the same surname pursue in vitro fertilisation (IVF) and wait for their babies.  The trouble starts when they find out the sperms were swapped due to confusion over the same surname.

On January 3rd, 2020, which was the 8th day of the screening of Good Newwz,  the movie crossed Rs. 130 crores.  In a tweet, noted Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh said, “Good Newwz is unstoppable… continues to win hearts, woo box office… Records rock-steady numbers on [second] Fri… North circuits superb… Should comfortably cross Rs 150 cr in Weekend 2… [Week 2] Fri 8.10 cr. Total: Rs 136 cr. India biz (sic.)”

Akshay Kumar said, “We are extremely overwhelmed with the response coming in for Good Newwz as it’s a subject which had to be shared with the audience. With this film, I am confident that a movie with good messaging and subject will always fetch success and appreciation.”

It appears Good Newwz is on its way to earn a fat payout for all the stakeholders involved in the making of this movie, based on the predictions about its future Box Office Collection.
