Abhishek Bachchan, who last appeared on the silver screen in the movie Manmarziyaan (2018,) is all set to return to the screen with the film The Big Bull.  This movie will be directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn and Anand Pandit.

Abhishek Bachchan is noted for delivering great performances in films like Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003,) the Dhoom series (2004, 2006 and 2013,) Yuva (2004,) Sarkar (2005,) Bunty Aur Babli (2005,) Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006,) Guru (2007,) Sarkar Raj (2008,) Dostana (2008,) Paa (2009) and Happy New Year (2014.)  Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in Guru is one of his best till date, where he portrayed a character named Gurukant Desai.  This movie was loosely based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani.

The Big Bull is based on the real events of the Indian stock market which took place between 1990 and 2000 and involved Harshad Mehta.  Harshad Mehta was a financial stock broker who orchestrated a financial scam which took the stock market and the Indian banking system for a ride.  He was accused on 27 counts and was convicted for only four before passing away at the age of 47. Harshad Mehta reportedly swindled Rs. 5000 crores in the financial crime.

The Big Bull also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Sohum Shah and Lekha Prajapati.
